Coventry will be hotter than Ibiza today as heatwave hits Britain

Parts of the UK are set to be hotter than Ibiza today as a heatwave hits with temperatures set to top 24C in Coventry. In the Spanish island of Ibiza, temperatures are expected to be just 21C.

The scorching weather will continue today (May 11), with forecasters predicting parts of the country will be hotter than the dance party island.

Locally, the Met Office forecast is predicting maximum temperatures of 24C for our area today. But make the most of the dry weather as there is a yellow warning for thunderstorms tomorrow (May 12).

The ten-hour warning is in place from 12pm tomorrow until 10pm tomorrow night and could result in “disturbing” thunder and heavy rain showers. But it’s set to stay warm with highs of 25C.

However, the local forecast warns that next week temperatures will drop from Monday (May 13) with “cooler” weather as the rain arrives.
