‘Now it’s our turn to support’ Friends of Leeds United fan Robert Hiscoe launches fundraiser

A fundraiser has been launched to raise money for the family of Leeds United fan Robert Hiscoe.

The fundraiser, run by Friends Of Robert Hiscoe on GoFundMe, says the money raised will go to Robert’s wife Christina and his two daughters, Nevaeh and Nyla, with 10% from the NHS. It describes him as a “very popular” character who was a “real family man”.

Robert was badly assaulted inside The Butterbowl, Farnley, and sadly died from his injuries later. Nathaniel Philip, 35, of no fixed address, has been charged with his murder.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Robert raised money for the NHS and is described as a “super loyal Leeds United fan”. The fundraiser says: “Robert’s extraordinary efforts during the Covid pandemic kept many people entertained when times were tough. He has grown a huge following, showing both strength and dedication to all who have watched his live performances.

“Robert was an extremely talented singer and entertainer and on many occasions gave us all goosebumps. He loved life to the fullest and always showed compassion and kindness in every situation, he was always the first to help others. Now is our time. support.”
