‘Beautiful’ mum, 36, dies suddenly as family pay tribute

A tragic mum’s family have said they will greatly miss her “infectious laugh and beaming smile”.

Katie Heffernan, from St Helens, died suddenly on Sunday, May 5, aged 36. The beautician and hairdresser leaves behind his four-year-old daughter Nancy.

A family member told the ECHO: “Katie was a fun-loving girl who lit up a room with her infectious laugh and beaming smile. She was loved by so many people. We are moved by all the condolences for her, she will be missed by all who knew her.”

A crowdfunding page has been set up to raise funds for Katie’s daughter Nancy to ensure she “has something for her future”.

It said: “Our beautiful Katie Heffernan has sadly passed away suddenly aged 36 on 5th May 2024. As a family we are all devastated by this sad loss. Katie was such a beautiful and kind person who would do anything for anyone.

“Everyone who knows Katie knows that she lived for her beautiful daughter Nancy, who is only four years old. Nancy was her absolute world and her best friend. The purpose of this memorial page is for Nancy for her future and for memories to be shared of her mother.”
