The LCR Future Impact Board appoints a new chair

Alliance of young professionals trying to shape the future of Liverpool city region – Future Impact Board – appoints new chair

Mona Hassan, Chair of the Liverpool Region Future Impact Council

Liverpool City Region’s Future Impact Board has announced the appointment of a new Chair.

Mona Hassan, an assistant surveyor at property consultancy Gleeds, will lead the board, which is made up of property and construction professionals, all aged 30 and under, and aims to “fight for a change positive” in the city region.

She succeeds Rachael Stevens, who has served as board chair since its inception in 2021.

With a “bold vision” set for the next 12 months, Mona will lead strategic initiatives aimed at “driving positive change and amplifying the voices of young professionals” across the region.

She aims to be a champion for the younger generation, ensuring that their needs and aspirations are at the forefront of decision-making processes.

And Mona says she will strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders and city-region leaders to promote initiatives that address pressing challenges facing young professionals, such as access to affordable housing, jobs and sustainable development.

“Being named chair of the Future Impact Board is a great responsibility and I look forward to leading our board toward achieving our shared vision,” she said.

“Together we will highlight opportunities, challenge where necessary and deliver tangible value to shape a brighter future for our city region. These efforts will leave a legacy and make a lasting difference for generations to come.”

In February this year, the board launched the Future Impact Network in collaboration with Liverpool Chamber. This will create a “coherent alliance of young professionals” across multiple sectors.

Acting Chair Rachael Stevens added: “It has been a privilege to lead the Future Impact Council. We have driven change and begun to bridge the gap between young professionals and decision makers.

“As Mona takes on the role of Chair, I am confident in her ability to continue our mission to shape a vibrant and inclusive future for the Liverpool city region, ensuring the city is celebrated and represented as the city we know and love. we love.”
