A444 collapsed live as drivers urged to avoid M6 junction

Traffic is facing delays this morning after a serious accident on the A444 at the junction with the M6. Warwickshire Police are at the scene and are advising motorists to avoid the area.

A spokesman said three vehicles were involved in the collision.

Inrix reports that the road is partially blocked and there is a queue of traffic on the roundabout. Starting at 9.45, the journey time is approximately 20 minutes.

A Warwickshire Police spokesman said: “Officers are at the scene of a serious collision involving three vehicles on the A444 at the junction with the M6 ​​(Junction 3). This is causing significant delays in the area, please avoid if you can.”

Person stuck in vehicle

One person was trapped in a vehicle, according to Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service. They said the accident happened around 8.40 this morning.

A spokesman said: “Two units from Nuneaton and an officer are in attendance at a road traffic collision at junction 3 of the M6. Crews use cutting equipment and small tools to extricate a person from a vehicle. Traffic is developing in the area. .”
