Hollyoaks’ Brent Taylor hears the secret to framing Romeo and Peri in the streaming episode

Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Tuesday’s episode on Channel 4, which doesn’t air on E4 until Wednesday.

Hollyoaks’ Brent Taylor overheard an incriminating conversation between Romeo and Peri in tonight’s streaming episode, which included a post-credits clue about the mystery behind Rayne Royce’s death.

It was Rayne’s memorial and the group of young friends were shocked when Rayne’s mother showed up at the house before the event.

After becoming concerned that the memorial was being held for the wrong reasons, Rayne’s mother offered Romeo a chance to prove how much she loved her daughter.

When a technical glitch occurred during his emotional speech, an angry Romeo attacked Peri and it was all captured on the live stream.

Following the outburst, Peri ran after Romeo and tried to comfort him. In a conversation with Romeo, which Brent was secretly eavesdropping on, Peri referenced the night Rayne died, telling Romeo, “That night, your halo wasn’t clean either.”

“I said we’d bury her,” Romeo replied.

After jumping to the wrong conclusion, things got heated between Brent and Romeo and the pair got into a physical fight. “What did you and Peri do to Rayne?” Brent yells at Romeo.

At the end of the memorial, Peri encouraged everyone to write a message to Rayne on a paper boat to float down the river. Then, in the post-credits scene, a message on a boat, presumably written by the killer, read: “Good Riddance!”
