The new date for the Coventry election was announced after the candidate’s death

Coventry City Council elections, which had to be called off after the death of a candidate, will be held next month. Voters in Radford will go to the polls to elect a councilor on Thursday, June 20, the council confirmed today (May 7).

The contest was due to take place last Thursday, May 2, along with other local elections in the city. But it was canceled days before the polls following the death of the candidate for the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) Dave Anderson.

People living in the area who are registered to vote will receive a voting card after May 16 next week. The deadline for registering to vote in this by-election is June 4.
