“We’ll All Go Out”

Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey has said Fulham are targeting a win against Championship side Luton Town in their final game of the season, reports.

Fulham travel to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town in their final game of the season on Sunday. The tie has very little meaning as Fulham’s fate is already sealed as they survived relegation. But they cannot qualify for continental football.

Luton, on the other hand, are serious relegation contenders as they sit three points clear of Nottingham Forest in safe last place. A win for Luton would put them level on points with Forest if they lose to Burnley.

However, Luton also have to turn around a large twelve goal deficit on goal difference between themselves and Nottingham Forest. And that seems almost impossible.

By the looks of things, Luton will probably go down even if they beat Fulham, making them a dead rubber fixture. However, Bassey insists Fulham will approach the game with all seriousness and try to win.

“Of course we are all focused. It’s the last game, everyone will give it their all. We are ready to do everything and hope that we will get the victory. That is our main focus,” said Bassey, per Fulham’s official website.

Luton have a good goal scoring record at Kenilworth Road. So, Bassey would have a tough job keeping them at bay.
